Dr. Amit Saha is a highly experienced Paediatric Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist with extensive training from prestigious centres in London, including King’s College Hospital. He brings a wealth of expertise in managing all aspects of paediatric gastroenterology, from common childhood problems to complex conditions.
After completing his higher specialist training within the NHS in the UK, Dr. Saha relocated to Australia where he worked as a full-time Consultant Gastroenterologist at the Royal Children’s Hospital (RCH) Melbourne until the end of 2020, working within a world-class team at one of the great Children’s Hospitals.
Dr. Saha holds a public appointment at St John of God Midland Hospital where he serves as the Director of Clinical Training in Paediatrics. Apart from clinical work, he has a passion for teaching and holds an academic appointment as Senior Clinical Lecturer with Curtin University Medical School.
With 14 years of experience within the NHS (UK) and subspecialisation as an RCPCH GRID trainee in the prestigious London South of Thames rotation, Dr. Saha has authored peer-reviewed publications including the RCPCH PGHAN SPIN module curriculum, endorsed by BSPGHAN and RCPCH as the national training curriculum for Gastroenterology SPIN trainees in the UK.
Dr. Saha is a recipient of the ESPGHAN Young Investigator Award for submitted abstracts for three consecutive years (2015-2017) and is currently the Coordinating Principal Investigator of an ongoing international multicentre cohort study in paediatric hepatology.
